Based on last week comments, the following changes has been applied:

. change of camera angle ; leaving too much whitespace in the second cut
. change in animation ; too much contrast in the different cuts.

Project Description:
My main focus was on liquid trails effects. A droplet of water was first introduced, and it left it’s liquid trails as it travel through the air. The trails are suppose to bring out the theme of party, and therefore colors would be of similar color to neon lights, such as neon orange and pink against a black background. Similar droplets were then later introduced, to show more contrast in the colors, and making the scene interesting. If time allows, I would like to continue with an slight whiteout with an fireworks/something that whites out the screen.

•Who do you think the site is created for?
•What are the good attributes of the site (in terms
of usability, aesthetic issues, etc)?

1. Unattractive
2. Non-User-friendly.
3. Impractical.

The site was created for potential and interested customers to learn more about their services and gives information’s that the customers might be looking for, e.g. the precise address.

The website is simple and clean. The labels and buttons are properly named. All layout and fonts has the right emphasis, such that the readers understands, and know what they’re reading. Information is organized into appropriate categories.

The layout and colors of the website are unattractive. ‘Contact us’ are only available on the front page; therefore there is a fault in the navigations. The front page did not emphasize on the promotions and the services, like the ‘This card’ and ‘Gift vouchers’. There’s also inappropriate naming of titles on some pages, like the ‘this card’ page.

The site was clear, and simple. However, as a big scale-fashion distributor, they should have something more impressive to attract more customers. Promotions and latest news should have been added to their front page, to allow customers to learn more about their services.

What is Browser-Safe Color Palette/ Web-Safe Colors?
Web-safe colors are a list of 216 colors, developed at a time where computer only displays 256 colors.

Is it still relevant in today’s context? Why?

Yes, it is. It doesn’t matter for computers anymore, since most of the computers these days are able display more than a million colors. However, it is of practical use for other mediums for web browsing like, mobile phones.

What are the common fonts face found on PC & Mac?
Arial, Comic Sans MS, Courier, Georgia, Impact, Lucida, Palationo, Times New Roman, Verdana, Symbol, Webdings.

What is page loading time and how it influence your design?

Page loading time is the time taken for a page to buffer before it is fully loaded, and well presented. It is important to keep the visitors happy. Therefore, files should be kep small and hosted locally, as external ones will take a longer time to load. And, reducing scripts or compressing/combining scripts before publishing it.

After reading the article, I find that web process is a very long process, such that many things have to be done before the web is officially published. Often, people tend to skip a few steps to save time and such, however, I felt that some steps are significant in the process such as analysis before work, and also post launch activities like test or evaluation. Most of the process examples given often have a common thing which is the concept part, and the design and production. Mock-ups are important as it will pre-launch the website to show mistakes, and what needs to be changed. I find that the article: The Seven Phases of Web Site development was quite will written. As they explain everything clearly, it’s gives a brief explanation about every stage. And this article is has most of the stage that most of the other stages skipped.

To conclude, the web process is a long and thoughtful process. We should not skip any of those important ones in making one.
